Guess what

My husband is amazing. I showed him a picture of a really neat Mini Mister holder that was given to Robin Beam by Kim DeRonde (http://pearlesq.blogspot.com/2007/12/packin-up-our-suitcasewith-mini-book.html), and he made one for me yesterday. I LOVE it. It holds 30 Mini Misters. I think he did an awesome job.
As I was going to sleep last night, a cool new technique came to me. I could barely sleep last night because I couldn't wait to get down to my craft room this morning and try it out. I can think up lots of techniques in my head, but they don't always work out as planned. This time it did. I can't give away all of my secrets yet, because after I work with this a little bit more, it will be showing up in a class. I can tell you that it involves Embossing Paste, UTEE, Distress Inks, and Paint. Anyway, here is a peek at what I made this morning.
Well, I can't play in my craft room all day. I get to pack up the kids and go watch my husband's volleyball team play today. It should be exciting...their first tournament of the year. Maybe I'll even get some good pictures.
Have a great day everyone,
Valonda

Wow! Your secret technique looks so BEAUTIFUL! I would have guessed you did a little highlighting with silver "Stickles" because it looks like a jewelry-embellishment...I hope you'll share your secret after you teach it in class!
Are you entering in the Creative Escape Teacher Search? I don't know if that is the real title, but fame and fortune could be YOURS!
Thanks for the Wal-Mart heads-up. I've stayed away from the sales because I always buy too much stuff, and my word for the year is "release"-I need to be lightening the load. But I need to ORGANIZE, right?
Tell your DH he is very clever and handy for making you that cool Mini-Mister holder...hope he has a great game today!-Erin : )

VERY NICE! I love it! Of course I will try to figure out how you did it! Ideas seem to hit me at 11 at night when it should be time for bed...
Great job!

ok Valonda is your husband going to make them to sell as I contacted the person who made the ones for the Winter Getaway that Robin went to but they never responded and I know a lot of us would like to get one.

Thank you also for the comment about my grandson on my blog, I am sure proud of him because 2 years when he was born he was only 4/11
